at their age, my girlfriends and i used to talk about the bobbsey twins, the ornamentals in our school’s little botanical garden that we planted (if somebody remembered to water it during the weekend), the new kid in our class, and who our math teacher sent to the corner for the rest of the second period. looking at them, i have a suspicion they may be talking about more grown-up stuff.

the boss was late, and i and these kids who were part of the welcome mat, er, band, were too early. so i fiddled around with my camera and they obliged me.
